Beluga whale by OtterBear Studio, Northwest Coast

This charming beluga, carved from moose antler, sits on an antler post atop a myrtle wood base. The inlaid ebony eyes, blow holes inlaid with pink ivory (wood), and the skin folds bring this sculpture to life.

Carved by Augustus, who was not born native but has been adopted by his wife's Kwakiutl family.
